- Chapter meetings are held every other month. This past year we have had classes in Schwalm embroidery, beading, punch needle and ‘knots’.
- In September, in an effort to promote interest and awareness in needlework one of our members hosted a solo show at her local Library in Limerick, Maine.
- In August we exhibited and demonstrated at Willowbrook, a restored village in rural Maine.
- Our November meeting will be our holiday Pot Luck luncheon. We will have a gift exchange, Super Stash Sale and also a class in Tamari Balls. This year is SOME Chapter’s 30th Anniversary.
- This past quarter our library added 54 books to its inventory. This was largely due to a donation from the family of Bonnie Rouillard, one of our past members.
- Our Brunswick and Beyond area group donated 180 colorful caps to the National ‘Knit-A-Cap’ project for American Indian/ Alaska Native children. Casco area group donated 31 blankets to Project Linus. Lewiston/Auburn area group also decided to adopt this worthwhile project for their outreach and they turned in blankets in late October.
