Message from NER Director
Autumn/Winter 2011
The mission of the Embroiderers' Guild is to stimulate appreciation for and celebrate the heritage of embroidery by advancing the highest standards of excellence in its practice through education, exhibition, preservation, collection, and research.
November! Is it really November? AND we've had our first Winter storm! I hope very few
of us were affected by the power loses and damages.
I enjoyed seeing so many of you at Region Day In Deerfield MA. So many "new to me"
faces! I know you all enjoyed both the lecture at the museum and Judy Jeroy's talk and
class at lunch. It was good that the restaurant could handle 59 of us. I hope all of you
and more will come to the Region Day 2012 when we will have 2 wonderful National
teachers.
The EGA meetings in Naples FL were very productive as you have seen in the EGA
Newsletter and Needle Arts. Several of our Region members were also at the Seminar
which followed and we all enjoyed the fellowship, classes and the lovely resort. I hope
many of you have at least looked at the classes and resort for our next EGA Seminar in
Santa Fe. It looks wonderful!
The Chapters are talking about many exciting Holiday events and programs for the new
year, so please check the reports and calendar.
Enjoy all those wonderful traditions we all have in this season. I know your families will
ooh and ah over all those special things you've made with love over the year. Do save
some time to stitch something for yourselves and to share all the Holiday events and
upcoming fun with your Stitching Sisters.
Happy Everything!
Pat
