Berkshire County Chapter - News
- The Berkshire County Chapter has had an active and productive year. We commemorated our anniversary with a June luncheon at Zucchini’s Restaurant in Pittsfield. Many of our members, in and out of region, attended. Susan Young, one of our treasured members, designed a sampler to commemorate our 30th year.
- One of our most active members passed away this year. Kitty Irland contributed much to the success of our Chapter and is sorely missed.
- Our membership numbers: 27 regular, 6 plural in region, 2 plural out of region. This is also a year for new officers and board members. The new board will assume responsibility in December.
- We continue to give of our time and talents for our outreach projects. Two Habitat for Humanity banners will be given to the new owners in December. The small heart pillows project for our servicemen has concluded. We continue to collect hats for preemies, and one of our members is busy knitting hats for another worthwhile cause in the west. In November we will work on a project for which a part of the proceeds will go to help in the fight against breast cancer.

- Carole Kelley our Program Chairman reports that Berkshire County Chapter EGA had a good and productive year of stitching and friendship. Over the summer we had well attended stitch-ins hosted by various members in their homes. We look forward to our holiday pot luck and gift exchange in December and to the new year with many nice programs. (see Master Calendar)
