A Red Rabbit Weekend with
Lauren Sauer!!!
SOME Chapter is sponsoring a weekend with Lauren Sauer and her Red Rabbit Needlecase, Saturday and Sunday, October 1 and 2, 2011.The needlecase is stitched with a selection of threads including wools on Belfast linen. The approximately 5 1/2 “ square needlecase is decorated on the exterior with motifs and letters adapted from a set of 18th century Scottish samplers and features the red rabbit of the title. The inside has four side loading pockets to hold packages of needles and scissors (needle packages and scissors not included).
Cost for the kit and two days of instruction is $145, check payable to SOME Chapter, EGA. Registration is open now and you may secure your place with a $50 deposit. The kits must be ordered by 1 August, 2011 and no refunds will be issued after that date.
The class will be held at the Yarmouth, Maine town hall, conveniently located just off US Route 1. Reasonably-priced motels are located nearby and the shopping mecca of Freeport is less than 5 miles north.
